Complaint Filed: Is SgDress reliable?

Lately I have seen Facebook Ad promoting SgDress.com. Out of curiosity, I went in to take a look at their products. The website is professionally done with all the clause stated clearly and it looks decent to me.

However I was very skeptical about the quality of the products especially seeing the magazine pictures. I went on to do a research at my favorite spot, Cozycot. Luckily for me, I managed to dig some reviews out of it.

Few users’ experiences can be summarize below:

Rykiel (10 Jan – 28 Jan)

Total time spent waiting after payment: 14 days (excluding weekends); 18 days (including weekends)

Ordered 3 items using paypal. Emailed SgDress when she did not received the items. They replied the reason of delay was due to out of stock of the items.

However the status was not reflected as it is on the site.

Subsequently she emailed them a couple of times but their replies were simply saying the items are arriving soon or send to you soon.

She issued an ultimatum to them and warned that she would report the matter to the police, CASE and even alert the media if she did not receive the items by 28 Jan. At the same time, she also filed a dispute claim with Paypal.

After doing so, she receive an email that claims to send out item. No item was receive on 28 Jan.

Rykiel believed that Paypal had started their investigation and SgDress was forced to ‘do something’. No updates on whether the item was receive.

Acousticcandy (25 Jan – 19 Feb)

Total time spent waiting after payment: 19 days (excluding weekends); 25 days (including weekends)

Ordered a jacket from SgDress out of temptation and made the payment via I-Banking. Inform them through contact form on their website about the payment made but no replies as to payment was received or not.

Sms and called the hp number provided on the web. The phone was ringing but no one would attend to the call. No emails and no items were received still. Waited for about 10 days before Sgdress email to her that the item is sent and expected waiting time was 1-2 working days.

Item only received after 9 days.

Annalin (22 Jan to 3 Mar)

Total time spent waiting after payment: more than a month.

Received email about item posted out, but after 3 days item was not received. She emailed to check but no replies from them. Filed a dispute claim with paypal and they immediately responded by sending the same email about the item being posted out. Escalated to a claim and since 8 Feb.

Paypal had decided the claim to be in favour to her and she will receive her refund soon.

Xiaowanzi (26 Jan to 3 Mar)

Total time spent waiting after payment: more than a month

Placed order on the 26 Jan but no items were received. Called and sms the person-in-charge ample times but no action were taken.

Requested for the company’s profile via ACRA and intended to sue them.

The phone was off on 3 Mar when she tried to reach them again.

Allure

Total time spent waiting after payment: more than 2 weeks.

Feedback that  the quality of items were much the same as Cleocat flashion.

Alicetay

Total time spent waiting after payment: 7 to 10 days.

Feedback that first order took 10 working days to receive her items. 2 out of 12 items she ordered were out of stock.

However, some cozycotters believe that alicetay works for SgDress for her one-sided story.

In conclusion, if you wish to purchase with SgDress, you got to prepare to wait for at least a month to receive the item. They could be just selling pre-order items and do not have ready stock suggested by some cozycotters.

And please make the purchase with Paypal so that you can file a dispute with them to claim your refund should anything goes wrong.
