We had many successful cases on blogshops selling mostly apparels. This time, SafeBlogShopper wish to feature a blogshop with unique web design layout selling novelties.

Introduction to Shinnpark.com…

Shinnpark.com is a regularly updated blogshop dedicated to putting the joy back into retail therapy. With a wide-ranging showcase of products targeted mainly at young adults, they love to feature cleverly designed products that are useful, fantastic value, or just downright exciting! They pride themselves to provide tried-and-true product reviews based on its form and functionality.

The founder of Shinnpark.com, Gin, is an one-woman powerhouse. She manaegs her own business, is a new media designer and has just turned a new mum! Since then, she has a found love for blogging and started on this humble blogshop.

She is a believer that being kind to one’s self and keeping a positive “can-do” attitude have been her own secret recipe for success. While she doesn’t miss the daily aspects of her previous designer job, she now faces the challenge of juggling motherhood while being the CEO of her own business.

The difficulties in the start-up…

“Originally from the creative industry, retail business is something very new and unexplored. And being new and ignorant, its difficult to compete with the established ones out there. Understanding what your shoppers like to see and buy is something that fascinates me till this day.”

To most business, understanding how and what a customer sees or needs is an important factor in market research.

Registering as a company…

“Although not necessary, shoppers feels assured getting their items from a known entity. When I shop online, I prefer to purchase items from a established source or through friend referrals.”

We also advise shoppers to shop from reliable source. When the business is register, the domain company actually holds certain information of the domain owner.

Also request for feedback from your shoppers as suggested by Shinnpark.com to add on your credential, boosting the confidence of shoppers. “We’re thankful that our shoppers does feedback and comment on our site, irregardless good or bad. Writing a feedback takes a considerable amount of time and we thank them for it.”

Shinnpark.com also answer to all enquiries regarding on their products to ensure their customer that they are always around for them.

“Be outright open with the product features you’re offering. Ensuring prompt replies, especially on payment receipts. It is one of the important measures to assure shoppers that you’re still here and getting their items out on time. We like to think that our shoppers make prompt payments and to thank them for it, offering next day shipping is considered very attractive as more than often, they do get their items on the next working day!”

Look and Feel is Important, Service is the Next Priority…

When it comes to online shopping, we are too spoilt for choices.

“As I’m originally trained in design, a pleasant look is a minimum requirement for an online shop. While you’ve got only split seconds to determine you should close the window or click on to buy something, visual pleasure is the utmost importance.

Always display a true pictures, especially colours of the products. No touch-ups, please. Shoppers know what they’re getting when they received it in their mailbox.”

“Never be afraid of saying ‘don’t know’ to a question but always follow up with, and will look for an answer and reply promptly. No one knows everything.”

Online Reviews…

When shopping, 99% of the time, we must look out for the reviews of an online store. “It does help in determining whether one should purchase from that store.”

Most importantly, always check for contactable email details and most importantly, prompt replies on queries and payments as suggested.

Shinnpark.com would like to say some words to budding blogshop entrepreneurs…

“Be open to change and opportunity. Learning to focus in your online business is important, but the real key is flexibility. When things aren’t going exactly as you think they should, don’t be afraid to change your perspective. Focus on what you really want, not necessarily the exact thing that gets you there. The more open you are to possibilities, the more options you’ll find you have. I’ve always a firm believer of being true to myself and ideals! Amazingly, that kind of consistency shows in everything you do.”
